“La Vie en rose.”
“Life in pink.” “La vie en rose” essentially means seeing life through rose-colored glasses. Living with an attitude or outlook of positivity, trying to see beauty in the everyday; like you do when you first fall in love.
February is the month we often acknowledge the love we have for the people in our lives. I encourage you to show your love to your children by spending uninterrupted time together – no cell phones, no TV’s, no play-date friends. I promise you will discover something unique about your child and yourself when you do. It is through our love that our children flourish and when they flourish, so do we.
The Parent/ Toddler class is an amazing group of parents, grandparents, and children. We have so much fun playing, learning, discovering, exploring, and making new and lasting friendships. They are also becoming experts at hand-print art! This month, we will be making a heart craft in celebration of Valentine’s Day.
Our Parent/Toddler class helps to develop your child’s sense of order, concentration, independence, and control of movement, all in a fun, encouraging, stress-free way. Play is crucial in early childhood development, and I encourage children to enjoy themselves and be creative in ways that support constructive, healthy social interactions.
Our class helps promote a sense of balance for parents by allowing them the opportunity to socialize and meet other parents with similar interests. Making new friends with parents of children of a similar age creates a beneficial support system.
According to Youth.gov, research shows that parental or family engagement in a child’s education can improve their test scores, attendance, social skills, relationships, behavior, and how a child feels about school.
Five Goals for Parent-Toddler Class
- Child-Parent Bonding
- Social Development & Interaction
- Improving Language Skills
- Developing Motor Skills
- Brain Stimulation
Activities such as reading, singing, and telling stories, are all forms of interactions that can influence children’s development. While playing, your child engages in looking, listening, touching, tasting, and moving, which enables them to connect with what is seen, heard, tasted, or touched. Play can help in stimulating a child’s brain development by influencing cognitive, physical, motor, social, and emotional development via sensory connections.
“L’amour rend la vie plus belle, tranforme notre vie de tous les jours, et nous donne une raison d’exister.”
“Love makes life more beautiful, transforms our everyday life, and gives us a reason to exist.”
Happy February!
