What a busy October we’ve had, and it went by so quickly!
We celebrated this harvest season with sponge leaf painting, decorating pumpkins, and using water color droppers. We also played at a pretend pumpkin patch stand outside. We worked on recognizing colors, shapes, counting, and recognizing numbers.
For the month of November, we will shift our focus to family, gratitude, and traditions, and learn about Dia de los Muertos and Thanksgiving. This month is a great time to think and share what you are thankful for with others and teach our children the value of gratitude. We will make different fall collages, paper plate wreaths, and a gratitude tree. We will work on scissor skills and will do painting outside.
It is a great joy for us to see how your children are flourishing as they begin to develop friendships and become accustomed to the preschool routine here at UMCDC. We are so grateful you are here with us!
