It’s amazing to see how much the children have grown this past year! They have become so independent and responsible. As the weather gets nicer, we will spend more time outdoors and have picnic snack time, story time, and open the water table..
This month, we have some really fun activities planned. We are learning about science, dinosaurs, and zoo animals and reading stories/playing games surrounding these topics. We will also be practicing one to one correspondence when counting, and will continue to familiarize the children with the alphabet and name recognition to prepare for their preschool class next year.
We will also continue to refine our fine motor skills by using scissors, tweezers, and the continued use of playdough! These skills help prepare children to hold writing utensils in the future.
The end of the school year is slowly coming to an end and we will have a family celebration on the 20th of May, so mark your calendars for a fun pizza lunch.
