Happy Fall season, everyone!
We would like to thank you for sharing your children with us. We have had a great start of the year. The children are starting to be well-adjusted to the daily routine. We are grateful to have such wonderful families!
We will be observing the social development of your children and will pass those observations to you during the course of the year. We will have assessments and parent-teacher meetings during the fall months.
Please read the white board at the entrance of the classroom to know the planned activities for the day. This fall, we will offer pumpkin stand dramatic play, Halloween science experiments, and we will celebrate Dia de los Muertos with our room mom.
We will have a Halloween costume party and parade on Monday, October 30th. We invite our 3’s class to wear their costumes to school. Please ensure your child can easily go to the bathroom in their costume. The parents will be invited to the parade in the Room 6/7 playground at 9:10 am. We will play music and have fun Halloween crafts planned in the classroom after that.
This month, we will start our show and tell. Children can bring a small item they would like to share with the class. Speaking in front of their peers helps them build vocabulary and confidence. We will probably take 2 days to do it, so the kids have plenty of time to share their special object (toy, book, stuffed animal, picture, etc.)
Dates to Remember:
SHOW AND TELL
Friday, October 20th
PICTURE DAY
Wednesday, October 18th
We will have a photographer come take beautiful pictures of your little one that you can order, as well as a class picture.
Also, as a friendly reminder, don’t forget to sign in your child and to sign out. And if you have a different person picking them up, please communicate their name to us.
Thank you so much!
